25 Kasım 2023Felföldi László Habil, Ethnochoreologist, head of department and scientific vice-director of the Institute for Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, lecturer and honourary titular university professor of the Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology Department of Szeged University, honourary titular professor of the Hungarian Dance Academy (Budapest), former lecturer of the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy (Budapest). Co-founder and retired convener of “Choreomundus, joint International Master on Dance, Knowledge, practice and Heritage course”, former Chair of the ICTM Study Group on Ethnochoreology, the current leader of the “Workgroup on Choreology of the Ethnographic Commission of HAS”. He focuses his professional activity on the research and education of traditional dance of people living in East-Central, South-Eastern Europe, and the Volga-Kama-Belaja Region of Russia concentrating on the problems of dancing individualities and communities. The focal point of his professional interest was the relation of collective knowledge to individual creativity in traditional dance. He participates in UNESCO’s cultural programs as an expert on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
